Dr Ali joined HE Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council, on a delegation to France and Germany this week to discuss common interests, ways to further deepen relations, and the upcoming COP28 summit in the UAE. It was part of a major push to raise awareness of the critical global event happening later this year, where key stakeholders come together to find solutions to the most urgent challenges in the field of climate change. Meetings this week have included Germany’s Michael Roth, Head of the Bundestag’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Claus Ernst, Head of the Climate And Sustainability Committee, and Michael Joris, Head of the Economic Affairs Committee. In France, the delegation met with Gerard Larcher, president of the French Senate, and Yael Braun-Pivet, president of the French National Assembly.
